Note on Format [ed.]

In the original text, each family name is printed with its first listed given name on the same line, seemingly as a space-saving measure. I silently replace each initial comma with a line break to improve legibility:

The Original Text

ABBOT (see Abbott), Benj[ami]n, s. Moses Jr. and Allise, Jan. 11, 1794.
Betsey, d. Moses and Allis, Feb. 25, 1790.

My Presentation

ABBOT (see Abbott)
Benj^n, s. Moses Jr. and Allise, Jan. 11, 1794.
Betsey, d. Moses and Allis, Feb. 25, 1790.

PS: As captured above, I make one additional change throughout the text, replacing “completed” first names with what an educated guess might indicate was actually written in the manuscript record. (This approach at least seems superior to editor Woods’ M.O. of introducing “missing” letters in square brackets.)
